About Us
Greetings!
My name is Holly. (Tinne in Gaelic… see, it nearly makes sense!)
So… who am I?
Well, I am what you get when you take a person who loves to play dress-up and pretend; who loves history and fantasy; who likes crafting and creating; who is is a social butterfly; who enjoys really interesting (sometimes weird) people; who IS weird people; who adores shiny things and has more accessories than the law should allow (why wear one bracelet when 10 will do nicely, thankyouverymuch) and drop her into an environment which practically begs you to be all of those things you can possibly be, and encourage her to go hog-wild.
O.M.G. I think I’ve become a rennie.
In 2002 we began Tinne Lune , (though I don’t think it was called that yet). Over the next 6 years, I learned a little about being a rennie, a little bit about being a merchant rennie, and a whole lot about the joys of Faire food. It really did start out as a whim and an experiment. We made a few things, sold a few things, and had nearly ZERO idea what we were doing. Truly flying by the seat of one’s voluminous skirt. But boy, was it fun.
In 2007, we launched another project; our son, who miraculously scheduled his entire (known) gestation and birth between faire seasons, Bless him! With his arrival, we made the decision to forgo daycare, and I quit my full time ‘mundane’ job. As a stay at home mom, I’m fortunate to be able to spend time with my child, and also creating beautiful things for my customers.
With a toddler, I don’t see myself launching into a career as a full time, every-weekend-on-the-road rennie… yet. But I’m excited to be able to offer accessories to folks year round from our website. If you’ve read this far, thank you. Above everything else, people are what make this all truly enjoyable. I look forward to meeting you under our awning, or over a pint…
Much Peace,
Holly
